edgarroche.com is a public author site operated by Edgar Roché / Avatar Studios. Optional accounts use Google Cloud Identity Platform: email + password only (no username). Session tokens stay in the browser (sessionStorage) on this static site.
If you use Contact or Newsletter, we receive the name, email, and message you submit, via FormSubmit, at eroche@edgarroche.com. That is for studio reply only. There is no automated mailing list yet.
Book checkout uses Stripe Checkout sessions from this site’s BFF (POST /api/checkout/session). Until live keys replace the current test keys, charges stay in Stripe test mode. We do not store card numbers on this site.
Language and theme preferences are stored in the browser (localStorage) only. If you create an account, wishlist items, saved addresses, reading progress, and waitlist emails are stored in our Postgres database (Neon), scoped to your Identity user id. We do not run a first-party analytics warehouse.
